ABOUT DR. TALIA DAYAN
I am a licensed psychologist (NJ) with over 10 years of combined experience working with children, teens, and young adults. I have worked in public and private schools, at summer camps, and in private therapy settings. I utilize evidence-based approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), to help my clients achieve their treatment goals. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and emotion regulation.
I earned a Psy.D. in School Psychology from St. John's University, where my dissertation research focused on Social Emotional Learning programs, and a B.A. in Psychology from Brandeis University.
SPECIALTIES
Adolescent & Young Adult Psychotherapy
Child Psychotherapy
I help teens and young adults navigate the challenges of daily life and provide a safe space to share and be heard. We'll explore your thoughts and feelings, identify the impact these have on your life, and develop strategies to help you feel more confident and in control. During therapy sessions, we practice tools and skills to reduce stress, navigate conflict, improve self-image, and strengthen relationships and communication. We'll identify and address your specific needs and concerns so you can feel better and improve your overall well-being.
I work with children who are experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties. My services can include individual therapy and consultation with parents and schools. The goal of child psychotherapy is to help children and their families develop coping skills, improve communication, and work through any issues that may be causing distress. I will work with you and your child to create a safe and supportive environment where they can explore their feelings and work towards positive change.
